The Village of Providence is one of the newest neighborhoods we work in and one of the most carefully planned. It was designed in 2002 by the firm DPZ as a traditional neighborhood development on about 275 acres at the western edge of Huntsville, with Steve Mouzon as town architect, and in 2015 the National Association of Home Builders named it National Community of the Year. Houses sit close to the street, the architecture draws on the region's traditional building styles, and a walkable town center of shops, restaurants and hotels sits at its core.
That makes Providence a good fit for permanent lighting. The houses are recent, the fascia is straight and sound, and a track tucked under the roof edge reads as part of the trim in daylight, which matters in a neighborhood built around how the street looks. Where a porch, a dormer or a front gable is the house's best feature, the design outlines it rather than simply running the eave.
What a Providence install actually takes
Design review and tight lots. Homes in a planned community like Providence typically go through architectural review for exterior changes, so we plan the fixture, its color and its placement with the approval in mind and give you what the reviewers need to see. Houses sit close together and close to the street, so where the crew sets up is planned before install day, and the fixings are spaced for a wet Tennessee Valley winter.
The town center is the commercial side: shops, restaurants and hotels along a walkable main street where the lighting is part of how the place feels in the evening. Storefront work there is sectioned and scheduled around trading hours, and permanent runs let a frontage change with the season without anyone on a ladder.

Christmas and seasonal light installation in Providence
Seasonal lighting is a full service, not a box of lights from a shelf. We design the display around your roofline, install commercial-grade product cut to fit your house, and service it through the season if anything goes dark. After the holidays we take it down and store it until next year, so nothing lives in your garage and nothing gets crushed between seasons.
Booking order decides the calendar. Installs run in the order they are booked, so the earliest dates go to whoever called first. If you want the lights on before the first weekend of December, get on the list well before the season starts.
Permanent outdoor lighting in Providence
Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed under the roofline that stays up all year and reads as trim from the street. Run warm white on an ordinary evening, color through December, orange and white for a Saturday in autumn, or switch it off entirely. It is all controlled from an app, so nobody climbs anything.
We install two systems. JellyFish is the one most people have heard of and we are an authorized dealer. Bosso is an alternative with its own fixture and control system that suits some rooflines better. We bring both to the consult and tell you which fits your house, including when that is the cheaper option.
